OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To carry out Track design tasks and delivery of Track engineering activities and Track submissions.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Lead CAD designers for the preparation of design drawings / construction layouts for Trackwork Scope including but not limited track laying layouts, detailed cross sections, assembly drawings etc.
Work on trackwork design documentation in accordance with LRT Design Guidelines
Write engineering reports and Construction Method Statements
Perform technical analyses for track work design
Prepare track work procurement/installation specifications and drawings
Prepare Change Requests and complete change analysis forms
Interface Documentation and coordination of other disciplines within the project team
Work for Requirement and Change Management processes
Lead the design and delivery of complex rail/transit projects
Respect of Engineering Management Plan and Design Quality Plan,
Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements,
Participate in the track design (drawings, calculations, reports etc.)for all interface issues and ensure optimal design of interfaces
Produce parts of the track design (specifications, detailed design)
Technical assessment and analyze the design from track suppliers such as switches, fastenings etc.
Analyze requirements and propose cost effective solutions to the track lead engineer.
Ensure that the design is compatible with the standards of health & safety
Consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems specifications,
Provide transversal studies related to Trackworks (Alignment, Noise & Vibration, Earthing & Bonding…).
Responsible for:
Prepare all track related design documents
Ensure compliance with standards, technical specifications and procedures including Quality procedures.
Definition of components technical criteria and technical evaluation of suppliers,
Obtaining approval of technical documents (especially drawings),
Bill of Quantities (BOQ) elaboration,
Prepare submittals to client and 3rd entities
Accountable for:
Carry out / Support the Factory Acceptance Tests
All Track Design Submissions and documentations
Technical open issues resolution on site, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure,
Construction and As-built documentation,
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or in Related Engineering field from a recognized university
Qualifications & Skills:
Multiple task management and time management
Solution oriented and practical engineering skills
Supervision of CAD operators and all detailed drawings
Experience in railway projects preliminary design, detailed design, and construction design
Having experience of track design
Good level of English document(technical reports, specification etc.) reading and writing
Good knowledge in the use of AutoCAD, Microstation, Microsoft Office Applications.
Experience in multi-disciplinary teams is an integral component of this role

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
Min. 2 years of relevant design experience in infrastructure projects.
Experience with the detailed design stages and system requirements of large scale LRT projects is a definite asset
