Purpose of the Job:
The Chief Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting function and ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. This role oversees financial reporting, statutory filings, audits, and day-to-day accounting operations. The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial data to support strategic decision-making and business operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the accounting team, including accounting and FP&A functions.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
Oversee tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax, withholding) and coordinate with external advisors as needed.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and drive improvements in accounting processes and systems.
Manage external audits and ensure timely submission of statutory accounts and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with global finance teams and shared service centers.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, and tax authorities.
Define accounting guidance applicable
Point of contact and business partner for project related accounting topics (Tender and execution phase)
Assist in Systems development as appropriate, ensure maintenance of project accounting system (including hedge accounting), billing system, fixed asset accounting system and cost center accounting system
Optimise accounting and closing processes
EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
Certificated Public Accountant (CPA)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Fluent in English both written and spoken (mandatory)
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills Desirable:
Experience in a multinational or international environment preferred
Experience in project accounting preferred
