Job summary:
The Work Package Controller is responsible for managing and controlling work packages within a project.
This includes monitoring progress, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful completion of the work packages.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track the progress of work packages, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, team members, and external vendors to gather necessary information and updates on work package status.
- Analyse and evaluate work package data to identify any potential risks or issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations to provide updates on work package status, including key metrics, milestones, and budgetary information.
- Assist in the development and implementation of work package processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding work package management best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of work package documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on work package Budgets.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in project or work package Controlling, budgeting, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating work package data and identifying trends, issues, or risks
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including advanced Excel skills
- Problem-solving abilities to develop solutions and implement mitigation strategies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, data analysis, and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
