Purpose of the Job

In charge to support the Construction management in its track activities in the Track Green Line - LRT Project

The Switches and Crossings (S&C) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, alignment, and integration of railway switches, crossings, and associated components within the track infrastructure. The role ensures that all S&C works are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities related to S&C installation and adjustment.
  • Ensure accurate setting out and positioning of S&C components using approved designs and layout plans.
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of S&C materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA/QC, and safety teams to ensure compliance with technical standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Lead and monitor installation crews, providing technical guidance and ensuring work is executed according to schedule and quality expectations.
  • Perform inspections and verify tolerances for alignment, level, gauge, and back-to-back dimensions.
  • Coordinate with signalling and electrification teams to ensure S&C interfaces are properly managed.
  • Identify and report any non-conformities or design issues and assist in developing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, progress reports, and as-built documentation.
  • Support testing and commissioning of installed S&C systems

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

Technical degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering, railway engineering, or related field.

Desirable:

Engineering / University degree

Knowledge of Quality codes & standards

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway track construction, with at least 2 years specifically in switches and crossings installation.
  • Knowledge of rail track standards
  • Experience with different types of turnouts (fixed, swing-nose crossings, slip switches, etc.).
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and track layout schematics.

Desirable:

  • Appitrack product knowledge (preferred)
  • Knowledge of construction sites (organization, interfaces, specialties such as topography or logistics)
  • Previous experience on urban rail or high-speed rail projects.
  • Knowledge of welding and rail stressing procedures.
  • Basic understanding of signalling and interface requirements at turnouts.
  • Fluent in English

Competencies & Skills

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and track layout schematics.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with quality control and health & safety practices in rail projects.
