Jason’s accelerating AI innovation across the full stack
Meet Jason. He’s a Senior Principal Engineer based in Arm’s Seattle office, working at the biting point between AI software and next-gen hardware. We spoke with him about how he approaches innovation, what the 10x mindset means to him, and why Arm is the place where he can bring his boldest ideas to life.
What exciting projects are you working on?
I’m currently working on accelerating real-world AI applications, from large language models to computer vision. That means working across Arm’s CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs across mobile, IoT, and data center platforms. Our team develops benchmarking and performance-optimization engines that span the full software stack, from APIs and model architectures to microkernels. We uncover bottlenecks, deliver measurable gains, and drive efficiency across diverse compute platforms.
What excites me most about this work is the opportunity to drive the co-evolution of hardware and software. My team helps translate deep performance insights into innovations that make AI faster, more efficient, and more accessible. It’s incredibly rewarding to see those improvements scale from the smallest edge devices to the largest data centers, shaping how AI works in the real world.
I get to work with some of the most talented, creative engineers in the industry, all united by a shared commitment to shaping the future of compute.
Jason, Senior Principal Engineer
What makes Arm a rewarding place to be?
It's being at the frontier of innovation. We’re helping define what future computing looks like before it becomes reality. Every project connects deep AI workloads with evolving hardware, turning tough performance challenges into opportunities for real breakthroughs.
What makes Arm truly special, though, is the people. We know the work we do here drives progress across the entire ecosystem.
The 10x Mindset means...
Dreaming big.
It's about who we are, how we collaborate, and the ambition behind what we build.
Staying open to new ideas.
We find smarter, more scalable ways to solve the problems we face here and now.
Challenging each other.
The 10x mindset reminds us to take ownership and think beyond constraints.
What advice would you give to the next generation of engineers?
