We're looking for a talented developer to join a highly impactful modernization initiative that's transforming our entire technical architecture. This is a rare opportunity to work on a large-scale migration from legacy monolithic systems to modern cloud-native microservices, where your decisions and contributions will directly shape the future of our platform.
What you'll be working on:
You'll be at the center of a challenging and rewarding transformation project, working with a distributed team of 20+ developers across multiple squads managing 70+ microservices. The role involves building new microservices in Python and Node.js, establishing robust testing strategies for both legacy and modern systems, implementing CI/CD pipelines that enable true continuous deployment, and working closely with architecture and product teams to ensure smooth migration paths from monolithic components.
Requirements
We need someone with 5+ years of hands-on development experience who has deep expertise in Python and Node.js, genuinely understands testing beyond just writing tests (approval testing, integration testing, test automation strategies), and has real-world experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines. You should be comfortable working in microservices architectures with distributed systems thinking.
Beyond technical skills, we're looking for someone who is quality-obsessed and won't compromise on code standards or testing coverage, execution-focused with the ability to drive complex projects from concept to production, and willing to roll up their sleeves and put in the effort needed to overcome challenging technical obstacles. You should be leveraging AI tools effectively in your daily work to accelerate development and problem-solving, and able to think creatively about solutions rather than just applying standard patterns to every problem.
Strong advantages:
Experience with C# and .NET systems will be particularly valuable, as will any background in monolith extraction or strangler fig migration patterns.
