Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive QA Manager to lead the cross-team quality assurance function across the organization. This role is responsible for defining the end-to-end (E2E) quality vision, selecting and implementing testing tools and frameworks, and guiding QA engineers embedded within application teams.

The ideal candidate is someone who thinks and breathes quality, with a strong sense of ownership and an uncompromising commitment to excellence. The QA Manager acts as the quality authority and enabler, ensuring consistency, scalability, and high standards across all products while empowering application teams to own quality execution.

Responsibilities:



Cross-Team Quality Leadership

  • Own and drive the end-to-end quality vision across all application and platform teams.
  • Define and enforce QA standards, best practices, and quality gates across the organization.
  • Act as the central point of alignment for all QA activities across multiple teams.

E2E Strategy, Tools & Implementation

  • Define the E2E testing strategy, covering UI, API, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Own the selection, design, and rollout of QA tools and frameworks (automation, reporting, test management).
  • Ensure consistency and reusability of automation frameworks across teams.
  • Drive adoption of automation-first practices while ensuring pragmatic manual coverage where needed.

Guidance & Enablement of Application QA Teamsidance & Enablement of Application QA Teams

  • Lead, mentor, and professionally guide QA engineers embedded in application teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, framework guidance, and best practices for test automation and manual testing.
  • Support application teams in designing effective test strategies aligned with the global QA vision.
  • Act as an escalation point for quality risks, test gaps, and release readiness concerns.

Process, Metrics & Quality Governance

  • Define and track quality KPIs across teams (E2E coverage, defect leakage, automation stability, release quality).
  • Establish release readiness criteria and quality sign-off processes.
  • Own defect lifecycle standards, risk assessments, and root cause analysis practices.
  • Continuously identify quality gaps and lead improvement initiatives across teams.

Collaboration & Culture

  • Partner closely with Product, R&D, DevOps, SRE, and Security teams to embed quality early in the SDLC (shift-left).
  • Lead quality discussions in cross-team forums, architecture reviews, and planning sessions.
  • Promote a strong quality culture, accountability, and shared ownership across engineering.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in Quality Assurance, including 8+ years of proven experience building, leading, and scaling cross-team QA organizations.
  • Proven experience leading E2E quality strategy across multiple application teams.
  • Strong hands-on background in manual and automated testing, with the ability to guide frameworks and tools.
  • Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of E2E, API, integration, and system-level testing.
  • Proven experience implementing QA standards and governance in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with BDD practices and related tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages; Python, JavaScript/TypeScript is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Git and modern version-control workflows.
  • Prior experience in the security industry or security-sensitive products is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influence skills able to lead without direct authority.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach when needed.
