Position Overview:
Drive the next generation of engineering excellence by combining multidisciplinary systems, advanced manufacturing, and AI-powered operations.
We are looking for a hands-on and strategic Director of Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary organization across Engineering, NPI, Quality, Integration, and Technology Lab.
This role bridges R&D, Product, and Operations, ensuring seamless transition from concept to scalable, high-quality production.
The ideal candidate will drive innovation, operational excellence, and efficiency through advanced technologies and AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale teams across Engineering, NPI, Quality, Manufacturing, and Integration
- Own the operations side of the NPI lifecycle, partnering with R&D to ensure manufacturability, readiness, and successful transition to mass production
- Drive DFX and ensure product manufacturability and readiness in Operations
- Improve production and integration through lean, automation, and process optimization
- Own operational quality and continuous improvement methods implementation
- Lead Technology Lab for validation, testing, and innovation
- Implement AI-driven solutions (automation, analytics, predictive quality) to scale our production capabilities.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Product, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Labs.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 10+ years in multidisciplinary engineering environments
- 5+ years Proven managerial experience leading managers, engineering and/or manufacturing teams.
- Proven leadership of engineering, NPI, and manufacturing teams
- Strong experience in product lifecycle and production scaling
- Deep understanding of DFX, manufacturing, integration, and quality
- Proven experience implementing AI projects (process optimization, analytics, automation)
- Experience with ERP / MES / PLM systems – advantage
- Execution-driven with strategic mindset
- Passion for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Hands-on leader with high ownership
