We are looking for Systems Engineering Group Managers in the High-Power Laser Systems Directorate

The position involves managing a group of experienced engineers, driving innovation in laser-based defense technologies and ensuring excellence in system development

Responsibilities

Managing, Guiding and retaining of a professional group of 20–30 systems engineers
Professional mentoring of group members
Serving as a technical expert in the High-Power Laser systems domain
Leading concept development, system architecture, and technological innovation
Optimal resource allocation and workload balancing across work packages
Leading cost estimation processes for system engineering activities
Monitoring and controlling group tasks and deliverables
Implementing methodologies and development procedures

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or Physics
At least 7–8 years of experience in full development cycles of complex, multi-disciplinary systems on military platforms
Proven experience in direct management of engineers
Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment with flexibility and adaptability
Experience in goal-oriented work plans (schedule and budget)
Systemic vision and System understanding
Background in Electro-Optics – advantage
Background in military/aerospace industry – advantage
Experience working with domestic and international customers – advantage
