SW System Engineer for Naval Systems
Elbit Systems is an international high-technology company engaged in a wide range of programs throughout the world, primarily in the defense and homeland security arenas.
We develop and supply a broad portfolio of airborne, land, and naval systems and products for defense, homeland security, and commercial applications.
We are looking for a System Engineer to join the NAVAL Systems team in our Rehovot site.
The team leads the development and integration of advanced systems for upgrading naval platforms, unmanned vessels, and marine sensors
Responsibilities
Lead the development and validation of complex multidisciplinary systems (System of Systems) with strong software and integration aspects, from solution definition to detailed design, lab testing, and customer delivery
Learn and own a specific system capability/content, translate it into clear requirements for software teams, and accompany it throughout development stages
Work closely with QA and development teams in the lab to verify implementation, support debugging, and drive closure of issues
Manage end-to-end validation flow: requirements → development → lab verification → field integration (Israel and abroad)
Participate in integration and tests conducted at company and customer sites, including field activities
Requirements
Relevant engineering degree
Experience in system engineering or development of complex multidisciplinary systems with significant software and integration aspects – mandatory
Experience writing requirements for software teams and accompanying development through verification and integration (FRS and Software ICD's)
Experience working with QA / lab testing / debugging in multidisciplinary environments – mandatory
Experience in developing marine systems – an advantage
Relevant naval background / technical background – an advantage
Ability to quickly learn and analyze complex topics, broad system - level perspective
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including the ability to motivate colleagues
Willingness to travel abroad
