For a groundbreaking unique and innovative technology project we are seeking an expert in electromagnetic systems to lead the research and development of high‑power electromagnetic transmission systems from component‑level design to full system integration
Position Description
Responsibility for research design and development of advanced electromagnetic transmission systems including high‑voltage and high‑power RF components pulsed‑power systems antennas and antenna arrays power combiners and high‑voltage switching boards
The role combines physical and engineering work at the full system level leading design experimentation integration and analysis
Responsibilities
Lead research and development of high‑power electromagnetic transmission systems
System‑level design of transmission systems including power source switching RF transmission lines and antennas
Design and development of high‑voltage high‑power RF components
Design and characterization of dedicated antennas and antenna arrays for electromagnetic transmission
Design of power combiners and dividers for high‑power RF systems
Design setup and execution of complex high‑voltage and strong electromagnetic field experiments
Perform electromagnetic analyses calculations and simulations and analyze experimental results
Independent end‑to‑end work including literature review concept definition implementation characterization and analysis
Writing technical reports and presenting professional deliverables
Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams and academic research entities as needed
Requirements
MSc in Physics Electrical Engineering or Electronics
Proven experience of at least 10 years in R&D of electromagnetic or high‑power RF transmission systems
Demonstrated experience with electromagnetic simulations using HFSS or CST
Knowledge and practical experience in designing high‑voltage high‑power RF components
Experience in full system design including antennas power combiners high‑voltage switching boards and pulsed‑power systems
Ability to work independently and lead design from concept to implementation
Willingness and ability to work offsite as required
Advantages
PhD in a relevant field
Experience with high‑power microwave HPM systems
Experience working with high voltage vacuum plasma and pulsed‑power technologies
Experience in integration and testing of complex systems
