For the company’s site in Modi’in, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading team responsible for the development and transfer to production of advanced aeronautical systems (UAVs).
The role involves bridging development and manufacturing activities, designing and implementing manufacturing solutions, and taking part in impactful technological work within the defense domain.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working in close collaboration with multiple interfaces across the organization.
In this role you will
Participate in product definition and development phases (UAVs) with a strong focus on manufacturability, cost and production processes
Prepare and manage the engineering plan for transferring product design to prototype and serial production
Define manufacturing processes, required technologies and production means
Perform mechanical design of tooling and means required for production, assembly and testing
Prepare technical specifications and Statements of Work (SOW)
Lead end to end transfer from development to production for company products
Manage the process to meet schedule and cost targets
Oversee and manage subcontractors and manufacturers executing work packages
Work closely with numerous interfaces in the company to drive execution and continuous improvement
Requirements
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design in industry
Proficiency with CAD tools
Experience in defining manufacturing processes and production tooling for composite structural parts, including aerospace environments is an advantage
Experience working in a manufacturing plant or industrial environment is an advantage
High level of English (reading, writing, speaking)
Willingness to travel abroad as needed and to work overtime when required
Strong teamwork and cross functional collaboration, attention to detail, and schedule/cost orientation
