We are looking for an Entry Level Experimental Physicist to join our Photonic Integrated Circuits Lab, part of the Physics Group at Elbit Systems, located in Rehovot
This is a hands‑on experimental R&D position focused on laboratory work with photonic and electro‑optical systems. The role is designed specifically for physicists at the beginning of their professional career and does not require prior industrial experience.
Responsibilities
Take part in experimental work on photonic and electro‑optical systems with strong emphasis on practical laboratory activity Assist in operating optical setups, performing measurements, and collecting experimental data
Analyze measurement results and learn how to extract physical meaning from experimental observations
Participate in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and performance investigation of physical systems
Support production lines and real hardware through physics‑based investigation
Gain hands‑on understanding of how physical theories are translated into measurable, validated, and manufacturable systems while working alongside physicists and engineers in a multidisciplinary R&D environment
Requirements
MSc degree that is completed or near completion in Physics, Electro Optics, Electrical Engineering with an Electro Optics track, or a closely related discipline
No Prior Experience Is Required
The role is suitable for candidates with strong curiosity for experimental physics, optics, or electro optics, motivation to work in laboratory environments and learn through experimentation, an analytical mindset, and willingness to engage deeply with data and experimental results
