For our site in Netanya, we are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong backend foundations and hands-on experience building agentic AI systems, to join a highly hands-on focused R&D team in the C4I and Cyber division and help build the core of C4I systems. The team owns the full process: solution definition, capability research, technology exploration, prototyping, and execution. We work at the intersection of backend systems, AI agents, on-prem LLMs, and operational workflows, with a strong emphasis on turning advanced concepts into practical capabilities. In this role you will
Lead backend development of agentic AI workflows and LLM-based orchestration systems
Design and implement reliable agentic flows, including integration with external tools and enterprise systems
Integrate on-premise LLM technologies into product-grade capabilities for complex operational environments
Build and maintain backend services using modern languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js
Contribute to technical thinking, solution design, and exploration of new capabilities
Work with tool calling, structured outputs, prompt and workflow design, and context handling
Collaborate across disciplines to deliver end-to-end solutions from concept to execution
Requirements
5+ years of backend development experience
At least 1 year of hands-on experience in agentic development, including AI agents, agent workflows, or LLM-based orchestration systems
Strong experience with on-premise LLM deployment and integration
Strong understanding of system design, APIs, microservices, and scalable backend architecture
Experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or LlamaIndex - advantage
Experience with self-hosted inference environments such as vLLM, Ollama, or similar - advantage
Experience with RAG, vector databases, observability, and production debugging of LLM systems - advantage
