Environmental and Sustainability Specialist

Main Goal
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented EHS Specialist to join our Risk & Quality department for a 6-month temporary position, covering a maternity leave replacement.
This role focuses on the implementation and execution of existing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, ensuring full regulatory compliance while actively supporting day-to-day operational activities in the field.
Job description
- Implement and maintain existing environmental, health & safety (EHS) policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and Limagrain group standards
- Execute work orders and corrective actions related to environmental and safety requirements
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify environmental and safety hazards, and ensure proper follow-up
- Support and monitor waste management processes, including reduction initiatives and proper disposal practices
- Assist in safety management, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of preventive measures
- Ensure compliance with permits and licenses (business license, poisons permit, emission permits, etc.)
- Coordinate and support regulatory inspections, including wastewater inspections and internal audits
- Maintain documentation and records related to ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 systems
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure safe and environmentally compliant work practices
- Support EHS training activities and promote awareness among employees
What we expect of you
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a technical / operational EHS role (hands-on experience preferred)
- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations – advantage
- Experience working in industrial / operational environments – advantage
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to execute tasks independently and manage multiple priorities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills – ability to work with field teams
- Proactive, responsible, and action-oriented mindset
- Fluent in Hebrew and English (written and spoken)
