Job Summary
• This role is responsible for leading system integration test programs across notebook and desktop product lines, managing cross-functional engineering and validation teams. The role applies advanced technical and program management expertise to solve complex integration challenges, drive innovation, and ensure seamless hardware-firmware-software interaction. The Test Program Manager develops test schedules, budget, scopes, and resource plans, tracks progress against milestones, and drives best practices in system-level validation, while mentoring less-experienced staff.
Responsibilities
• Manages and leads system integration test programs involving multiple functions and project teams to drive engineering development and validation for notebook and desktop products.
• Oversees logistics of test components, and system-level test execution across multiple concurrent projects.
• Develops and directs schedules, critical deliverables, budget planning, and resource allocation for assigned programs.
• Coordinates activities of supporting engineering, validation, and manufacturing teams; monitors progress and adjusts plans to meet integration and testing goals.
• Ensures procedural compliance, safety practices, and quality standards are followed during system integration and testing.
• Communicates program status, escalations, and issue resolutions to stakeholders; collaborates with internal partners to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with product roadmaps.
• Tracks and drives closure of open issues identified during integration trials and test cycles; ensures actionable items are documented and resolved.
• Drives innovation and integration of new testing methodologies, automation tools, and quality initiatives into system validation processes.
• Promotes best practices through documentation control and process standardization.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to junior program managers and test engineers.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in system integration, validation, or program management within notebook and desktop product development.
• Strong understanding of PC architecture, embedded systems, and hardware/software integration.
• Familiarity with notebook and desktop R&D processes and product lifecycle management is essential.
• Experience in Windows, Chrome or similar platform development is highly preferred.
