We are looking for 3 Therapeutic Area Leads (Immunology, Oncology, Hematology) in our medical affairs department, Greece.
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for three Therapeutic Area Lead roles within the medical affairs department. Therapeutic areas of interest: Hematology, Immunology, Oncology.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a passionate and focused high caliber Medical Affairs (MAF) professional to lead on current portfolio and make an immense difference to patients’ lives in targeted high unmet needs within conditions. The successful candidates will Lead a medical therapy area team to develop and implement strategy for both current and pipeline products.
The role reports directly to Country Medical Director and will play a meaningful role in providing agile leadership, mentorship direction and framing as a forward-thinking architect and catalyst with a chance to define a real difference to the therapy area. Tasks & Responsibilities:
The main tasks & responsibilities YOU will have in this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for relevant TA Medical Affairs plans and launches
- Provide medical support for our current and coming portfolio to translate clinical research into product strategy
- Oversight of national Early Access Programs, Patients Support programs, Compassionate drug requests, Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) and clinical study protocols on country level
- Provide medical/scientific contribution to the development of appropriate materials and projects, working cross-functionally
- Work closely with, and provide medical support to, other Medical Affairs Team members such as Medical Education, Medical Information (MI) and real word evidence manager
- Provide medical input to the Market Access (e.g. reimbursement applications), Outcomes Research, Marketing and Sales Teams, Communications and Government Affairs
- Network with the Global and EMEA Medical Affairs, R&D, Global Clinical Operations (GCO), Medical Education and other teams to ensure free flow of information and ideas
- Collaborate closely with the GCO function on new clinical projects, updates and provide Therapy Area expertise and Key Opinion Leader/Investigator contacts, site feasibility/validation and site optimization discussion
- Be responsible for reviewing materials and activities for compliance with Code of ethics and other laws and regulations
Education and Experience:
- MD or PhD degree and experience within a pharmaceutical environment (+5yrs or equivalent)
- Strong line management leadership experience, (experience in leading people for 3+ years)
- Fluency in Greek & English is required
- Digital literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and other relevant systems
- Fully cognizant of all significant complex scientific data and regulatory requirements for field-based personnel
- Able to travel to domestic and international scientific meetings
Proficiencies and Skills:
- Commercially astute whilst instilling medical pragmatism and clinical reality with the wider teams
- A very strong open, collaborative, and leading ethical with a desire to succeed in the Medical Affairs environment
- Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to identify and understand complex issues and problems, and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to senior leadership, marketing and sales
- A proven track record to apply complex scientific resources for presentations in a variety of different settings is required
- Excels in building key relationships with internal, external key partners; KOLs and Peers
