Position Overview
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is currently seeking a Clinical Specialist – Joints to join our Orthopaedics team in Israel.
This is a field-based position supporting hospitals and medical centres across the Northern region of Israel (Hadera and northward).
The role includes extensive in-theatre presence during joint replacement surgeries (hip and knee), providing hands-on clinical support in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Work hours may be unpredictable and driven by operating room schedules.
The role may also require occasional Friday shifts depending on surgical demand.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Expertise
- Provide expert clinical support during joint replacement procedures, ensuring proper use of implants, instruments, and digital tools.
- Deliver professional training and education programs for surgeons, nurses, and OR staff.
- Stay current with advancements in arthroplasty techniques, implant systems, and technologies.
Business Development
- Support the sales team through high-quality clinical service that enhances customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key hospital accounts and stakeholders across the region.
- Assist in developing and executing territory strategies aligned with business objectives.
Market Intelligence
- Gather and report insights on customer needs, clinical trends, and competitor activity within the arthroplasty field.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine clinical value propositions and support new product introductions.
Operational Responsibilities
- Manage implant and instrument inventory, consignment levels, and logistical needs within assigned hospitals.
- Report and handle product complaints, adverse events, and regulatory requirements according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, case reporting, and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Emergency Medicine, or other clinical/biomedical fields.
- Previous experience with Magen David Adom (MDA) or similar emergency medical services.
- Experience as a paramedic - Preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with healthcare professionals.
- High learning agility and ability to perform under pressure in dynamic surgical settings.
- Fluency in Hebrew and English;
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Northern region of Israel (Hadera and northward).
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
