We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Ness Ziona site.

Role Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for leading a complex manufacturing organization, including direct management of managers and team leaders. This role drives production performance ensures operational excellence, and continuously elevates standards to meet and exceed evolving business goals. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with a passion for process improvement, problem-solving, and execution at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and supervisors to ensure high-performance manufacturing operations.
  • Drive production activities to meet daily, weekly, and long-term output targets while continuously pushing for higher performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain staffing and production schedules aligned with business priorities and operational needs.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve manufacturing challenges to ensure operational stability and agility.
  • Monitor production orders, workflows, and key performance metrics to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Prepare and submit production, quality, and operational performance reports.
  • Ensure all staff receive comprehensive training on safety, quality, and operational procedures; monitor compliance and drive a culture of accountability.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to standard operating procedures, manufacturing processes, and work practices.
  • Manage operational budgets and drive cost-efficiency initiatives to support business goals.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshoot recurring issues, and partner with management on repair or replacement needs.
  • Foster strong communication within the manufacturing department and with cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure personal and organizational compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry — a must.
  • Proven experience managing managers and team leaders — a must.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other process excellence methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
