Job Summary
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading end‑to‑end program delivery across a portfolio of products within the PMO organization. This role owns the integrated program plan, budget, risk framework, and governance model to ensure cohesive, value‑driven outcomes.
The Senior Program Manager aligns and oversees multiple interrelated projects, leading cross‑functional, matrixed teams across Product, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory/Compliance. The role ensures adherence to PMO standards, drives RAID management, KPIs, and stage‑gate compliance, and supports decision‑making to enable timely delivery in a governance‑ and regulation‑driven (MedTech‑like) environment.
In addition, the role leads change management and adoption efforts, provides clear and concise program reporting to senior leadership, and balances execution rigor with flexibility to sustain delivery momentum and maximize business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the end‑to‑end Program Lead for assigned product delivery areas, establishing clear governance, success metrics, and decision rights
- Own RAID management (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and ensure alignment with PMO standards and defined KPIs
- Develop, own, and maintain the integrated program plan, including scope, schedule, cost, resources, milestones, and baselines
- Implement and manage change control, escalations, and baseline management in support of stage‑gate and regulatory expectations
- Ensure multiple related projects align to deliver one cohesive, value‑driven program outcome
- Define and track benefits realization metrics, translating program outcomes into measurable business value
- Own and manage the program budget, forecasts, and resource planning; partner closely with Finance to ensure fiscal health and cost control
- Lead program‑level risk management, including mitigation planning, issue resolution, and contingency strategies
- Manage cross‑project dependencies and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues
- Lead and engage cross‑functional core teams (Product, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory/Compliance), fostering collaboration, accountability, and clear communication
- Drive stakeholder alignment and influence across functional and organizational boundaries
- Own program reporting, delivering executive‑level dashboards and governance updates highlighting risks, decisions, and impacts
- Establish and monitor program KPIs in accordance with PMO standards
- Ensure all deliverables meet stage‑gate, quality, and regulatory requirements prior to progression
- Lead change management and adoption, including readiness planning, training, and sustainment strategies
- Ensure alignment with applicable quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, maintaining audit readiness
- Promote best practices, continuous improvement, and consistency with PMO methodologies
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, performance, and third‑party delivery risks
- Utilize enterprise tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Clarity) to support planning, tracking, and transparent reporting
- Demonstrate strong business acumen by translating technical execution into strategic business outcomes
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline — required
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree — preferred
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project or program management roles
- Proven track record delivering large, multi‑project programs with cross‑functional teams
- Experience working in PMO‑driven or governance‑heavy environments
- Demonstrated experience leading matrixed or virtual teams

- Ability to multitask and operate independently with minimal oversight
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally up to 25%, including overnight travel
