Microtech is seeking a talented and motivated Algorithm Developer to join our Research & Algorithm team. This role focuses on the development of advanced signal processing algorithms with applications in medical ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong foundations and vast experience in algorithmic development, from the idea stage and up to its full implementation and validation. It should include the signal acquisition, and signal processing, along with a background in acoustics, oscillations, and wave phenomena.
Previous hands-on experience in MATLAB-based algorithm and in medical devicedevelopment are must.
Candidates with experience in ultrasound applications, data acquisition hardware (DAQ), and design of experiment (DOE) are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, implement, and validate signal processing algorithms.
- Design, plan, and execute experiments.
- Translate MATLAB algorithms for software implementation and integration.
- Write clear and detailed documentation, including algorithm descriptions and test protocols.
- Actively collaborate within the Research & Algorithm team and cross-functional departments.
- Participate in regular task reviews and report progress to the team manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
Required:
- Master’s degree in physical sciences or engineering / Master’s degree in Exact Sciences or Engineering.
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience in signal processing algorithm development.
- Proven experience with MATLAB programming.
- Proven experience in medical device algorithm development.
- Hands-on experience designing and executing laboratory experiments, including protocol writing and reporting.
Preferred (Advantages):
- PhD degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering or PhD degree in Exact Sciences or Engineering.
- Experienced in ML and AIalgorithm-based development.
- Experience in developing MATLAB applications interfaced with acquisition hardware.
- Familiarity with algorithm development in the ultrasound domain.
