In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Collaborate with customers, NI/Emerson teams, and Alliance Partners to develop semiconductor test solutions.
- Gather customer requirements and develop technical specifications and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Define project plans, lead technical reviews, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Design, integrate, and validate analog, digital, mixed-signal, and RF test systems based on DUT requirements.
- Evaluate system performance, reliability, measurement accuracy, and cost of test.
- Integrate NI PXI-based modular instrumentation into turnkey test solutions.
- Support system deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization at customer sites.
- Work with customers and manufacturing partners to improve tester performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support, training, and mentorship to customers and internal teams.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 20%).
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in System Design, Application Engineering, Semiconductor Test Engineering, or related technical roles.
Technical Experience
- Semiconductor test and validation experience in areas such as RFIC, Mixed-Signal IC, RF FEM, On-Wafer Test, IPD, ADC/DAC, PMIC, MEMS Sensors, and LED devices.
- Test software development and test case implementation.
- Programming experience with C/C++, C#, VB.NET, Java, or Python.
- Experience with semiconductor ATE platforms such as Advantest V93000, Teradyne UltraFLEX/J750, or Chroma PAX.
- Hands-on experience with test instrumentation including SMUs, digital pattern instruments, digitizers, oscilloscopes, and RF instruments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NI PXI/PXIe platforms and NI software such as LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Knowledge of RF, mixed-signal, and high-speed digital testing.
- Strong troubleshooting, project management, and customer-facing communication skills.
The NI Semiconductor Business Unit(BU) Customer Centric Solution(CCS) team is seeking to hire an experienced Applications Engineer to work on the customer engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI products. The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI customers, sales personnel, engineering and alliance partners to define, document, design and deploy NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions. The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding Test Systems (preferably NI products) and system-level design, specifically in semiconductor production test industry.
