This role is critical to Nayax’s success as connectivity and messaging are the foundation of our payment platform and telemetry services, supporting 1.5M+ devices across 100+ countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute global connectivity strategy for cellular and emerging technologies

- Benchmark messaging platform suppliers on performance, pricing, delivery rates, and global coverage to ensure Nayax is always on the best available solution
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Manage strategic relationships with MNOs (Verizon, POST, Telenor, Partner, Telstra) and MVNOs (Telit, Webbing), ensuring SLA compliance, commercial terms, and network performance across all regions
- Manage external Messaging Platform suppliers: own the vendor relationship, SLA performance, and contractual compliance with current provider (Twilio) and potential alternatives (e.g., Infobip)

- Oversee SIM lifecycle management including procurement, activation, and deactivation
Cost Reduction & Invoice Management
- Drive aggressive cost reduction initiatives and optimize data plan management across the device fleet
- Manage and monitor monthly invoices from all connectivity and messaging platform suppliers — ensuring accuracy, flagging discrepancies, and tracking spend against budget
- Identify opportunities for renegotiation, consolidation, or supplier switching to reduce total cost of ownership
- Track and report connectivity and messaging spend trends to leadership
Operations & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor connectivity and messaging platform performance, uptime, and quality metrics across the device fleet
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of connectivity or messaging issues impacting customers
- Drive SMS operations governance including deliverability monitoring, fraud prevention (e.g., SMS pumping, grey routes), and cost optimization across all messaging traffic
- Oversee SIM lifecycle management including procurement, activation, and deactivation
- Lead ongoing firmware (FW) upgrade campaigns for deployed field units — proactively pushing latest versions across the device fleet to reduce connectivity issues, support the Payout team, and ensure customers are always operating on the most stable and optimized firmware available
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with regional telecom regulations, messaging regulations (e.g., CTIA, GDPR), and security requirements
- Drive SMS operations governance including deliverability monitoring and fraud prevention
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as primary contact and subject matter expert for all organizational functions on cellular connectivity and messaging matters
- Educate and present cellular technology and messaging platform concepts to cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering on connectivity and messaging requirements for new devices and features
Requirements
Your key responsibilities will include:
