Position Summary
The Treasurer has a pivotal role within Netafim's finance team, responsible for overseeing the company's treasury operations and financial strategy. This position will lead the management of cash flow, investments, working capital and risk management, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall financial objectives. The Treasurer will play a crucial role in enhancing liquidity, optimizing capital structure, and driving financial performance, while also implementing innovative solutions to improve treasury processes. This leader will collaborate closely with senior management and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and ensure robust financial governance
Key Responsibilities
Debt and Capital Structure Management
· Responsible for ensuring full optimization of the company’s debt structure, including an effective balance between short- and long-term debt, as well as optimizing financing costs
· Monitor and ensure full adherence to debt covenants, including timely reporting, forecasting, and corrective actions when needed.
· Develop strategies to optimize the company's capital structure and cost of capital
· Maintain strong relationships with lenders, rating agencies and financial institutions
Cash and Liquidity Management
· Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, financial statement analysis and investment strategies
· Set cash targets to support efficient liquidity management
· Oversee daily cash positioning activities including managing daily liquidity, cash position reconciliation and bank reporting
· Manage operating cash to obtain optimum interests
· Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
Working Capital Optimization
- Lead initiatives to cultivate a robust cash culture within the company, establishing best practices for cash management, credit control, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in working capital optimization
· Own the Accounts Receivable function with a focus on collections, achieving performance targets, overseeing overdue accounts, assessing credit risk, and continuously improving cash conversion and DSO metrics
· Lead efforts in collaboration with procurement to improve suppliers’ payment terms and days payable outstanding (DPO)
· Analyze working capital components and provide insights into the organization’s liquidity position, identifying areas for improvement
· Develop training materials for other departments to enhance their understanding and commitment to improving working capital
Investment Management
· Manage surplus cash and short-term investment portfolios to maximize returns while maintaining liquidity
· Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with the organization's financial goals
· Evaluate and monitor market trends to identify new investment opportunities
Global Insurance Programs
· Manage global insurance programs, ensuring adequate coverage for operational risks and negotiating favorable terms during renewals
· Implement risk mitigation measures within insurance programs to minimize potential financial impacts from identified risks
Risk Management
· Identify, monitor and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange and credit risks
· Implement hedging strategies and other financial instruments to manage risk exposures
· Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Treasury Operations and Technology
· Oversee banking relationships, account structures and payment processing
· Leverage tools such as ERP systems and data visualization platforms to enhance decision-making and tracking of KPIs
· Drive automation and technology integration to streamline treasury processes
· Maintain an efficient system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities and provide support for regulatory reporting
· Explore and implement AI-driven tools that enhance treasury workflows, improving accuracy and efficiency in processes such as cash management and forecasting
Team Leadership
· Lead and monitor the treasury team, foster a culture of excellence and accountability
· Collaborate with the CFO and other executives to align treasury strategies with corporate goals
· Provide financial insights and recommendations to support mergers, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management or finance required
· MBA or advanced degree in business, finance or management required
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· A minimum of 10 years in treasury and finance roles within a complex, global organization of significant scale
· In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets, risk management, banking relationships, and cash management
· Ability to think “big picture” and act as a senior adviser and business partner to management
· A proactive, action-oriented individual with a strong sense of urgency, adept at overcoming obstacles to achieve timely results
· Strong presentation skills demonstrated through exposure to top executive management; ability to work closely with the Finance Committee to safeguard financing and risk aspects
· Proven experience in leading finance transformation activities, including working capital optimization, cash flow forecast accuracy enhancement and automation and visualization of processes and KPIs
· Proven ability to train and develop team members as part of a strategic talent development plan
