Job Title: Law Intern / Legal Intern
Reports To: Supervising Attorney
The Law Intern will provide essential support to our legal team, mainly in areas of document preparation, preliminary drafting of agreements and corporate secretary. This role offers an invaluable opportunity for a motivated intern or student to apply academic knowledge in a practical, fast-paced legal environment and gain firsthand experience in the day-to-day operations of a legal practice in a global corporation. Key Responsibilities
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Assist in the review, organization, and tracking of various commercial agreements (e.g., NDAs, vendor contracts, service agreements).
- Drafting and Writing: Review and prepare preliminary drafts of legal documents, including agreements of various levels, memos, briefs, correspondence, and summaries of research findings.
- Regulatory & Compliance Research: Assist in adherence to regulations relevant to the company's industry and operations, including response to external and internal inquiries.
- Corporate and Secretary: Assist with preparing and organizing materials for corporate and secretary needs, including for the company’s subsidiaries.
- Case and File Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining physical and electronic case files, ensuring all documents are accurately logged, stored, and easily retrievable.
- Litigation Support: Assist with litigation matters including gathering documents, organizing discovery materials, liaising with outside counsel, and preparing summaries.
- Administrative Support: Perform necessary clerical and administrative duties
- Observation & Attendance: client meetings, and internal strategy sessions to observe legal processes and take detailed notes.
- Team Assistance: Provide general support to attorneys and paralegals on various projects as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Law School (LLB).
- Academic Record: Strong academic performance in relevant coursework is highly desirable.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
