NVIDIA is seeking a top-tier Senior Network Test Engineer to join the Networking Insights team. This outstanding opportunity enables you to play a crucial role in crafting the future of NVIDIA’s networking products through rigorous and insightful testing of networking switches.
What you'll be doing:
- Perform detailed hands-on testing of various networking switches to evaluate performance, functionality, and reliability.
- Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for networking switches.
- Apply network testing tools and equipment (e.g., IXIA traffic generators) to simulate AI data center real-world scenarios.
- Automate testing procedures where possible to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Generate comprehensive test reports with clear and actionable findings, including comparative analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to share findings and insights with collaborators.
What we need to see:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in network testing, with a focus on networking switches.
- Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, crafting, coding, and debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience with L2 and L3 protocols like MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, etc.
- Experience with using networking test tools like IXIA or Spirent and working experience in test management.
- Good experience working on Unix or Linux-based OS.
- A great teammate with multi-tasking ability and good interpersonal skills.
- Solid foundation in and understanding of software engineering practices.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience with specific networking switch vendors (e.g., Cisco, Arista).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience with bring-up and troubleshooting of Ethernet interfaces and modules.
