NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated Student Software Linux Engineer to join our outstanding Linux networking software team in Israel.

You'll work alongside world-class engineers, contributing to critical components of our software stack and learning invaluable skills that will set you apart in your career.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist in crafting and implementing installation and packaging workflows for NVIDIA networking software on major Linux distributions, such as Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL, and SLES.
- Work on Linux kernel modules and drivers, including testing and backporting features for advanced networking hardware.
- Support and maintain meta-packages, profiles, and automation tools to streamline installation and configuration.
- Participate in debugging and system-level testing across various Linux environments.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers, QA, and release teams to improve software robustness and user experience.
What we need to see:
- Currently pursuing a BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Good understanding of Linux systems and operating system fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Linux packaging systems (e.g., DEB, RPM) and basic scripting (Python or Bash).
- Passion for kernel-level programming, Linux drivers, or low-level system development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ways to stand out:
- Hands-on experience with kernel development, open-source contributions, or coursework in operating systems.
- Familiarity with Linux build systems (Makefiles, DKMS, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes) or CI/CD tools.
- Interest in networking concepts such as RDMA, Infiniband, or Ethernet drivers.
