NVIDIA the world leader in visual computing. The work we do impacts some of the most consequential mega-trends in technology today (i.e. virtual reality, artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, etc.). As the business partner for one or more R&D teams, you will be responsible for providing legal support on a wide variety of intellectual property related issues. You are business-minded, passionate about technology, a team-player, and eager to help NVIDIA succeed in a variety of new and exciting markets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assuring that NVIDIA is protecting its technology investments by actively participating in the process of obtaining patent protection for NVIDIA innovations. This is accomplished through advice and counsel to Business Unit clients on patent filing, invention identification, patent training and harvesting, invention disclosure submissions, prosecution of applications, and freedom of action.

  • Instructing and directing Outside Counsel to ensure compliance with NVIDIA guidelines and strategy.

  • Partner with other members of the legal team on assorted intellectual property related matters, such as assertions, IP licensing, patent portfolio valuation and assessment in the course of mergers and acquisitions.

  • Develop subject matter expertise and drive client counseling for a specific IP active area.

  • Drive development and deployment of patent policies, team practices and tools with an emphasis on AI utilization.

What we need to see:

  • You will have a technical degree: B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D, particularly in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

  • 5+ years of experience as a licensed patent agent/attorney

  • Registration to practice before the Israeli Patent Office, USPTO or EPO.

  • Extraordinary communication skills: written and verbal, organizational abilities and attested attention to detail

  • Demonstrate a real passion for innovation, technology and learning.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • You'll have experience in the high-tech industry and familiarity with high performance compute architectures, software development, datacenters, computer networking or Artificial Intelligence.

  • Exhibit extraordinarily crafted patent applications and granted claims

  • Experience counselling business teams about Standard Setting Organizations and intellectual property agreements with third parties

  • In-house experience in a Patent Team of a technology-driven company

  • Practical experience as an electrical or software engineer
