Senior Electrical Validation and Compliance Engineer
NVIDIA
NVIDIA’s Networking HW Qual team is searching for a System Electrical Compliance and Validation Engineer to join us in Yokneam, Israel. In this position, you won’t just be testing; you will serve as the technical authority ensuring our next-generation networking platforms satisfy the most fast-paced electrical standards in the industry. We seek a methodical, "analog-minded" engineer who recognizes that at 100G/200G+ per lane, every millivolt and picosecond matters. If you have a passion for high-speed signal integrity and the rigor of compliance certification, we want you on our team.
What you’ll be doing:
Define and implement comprehensive electrical compliance test plans based on industry-standard specifications (e.g., IEEE 802.3, IBTA, PCI-SIG and others).
Lead the characterization of high-speed SerDes and I/O protocols to ensure they meet stringent mask margins, jitter requirements, and return loss specifications.
Analyse complex validation data to identify non-compliance issues. Partner closely with PHY Build, System Architecture, and Signal Integrity (SI) teams to root-cause and resolve electrical challenges.
Build and develop Python-based test scripts and frameworks to automate lab validation processes, ensuring repeatable, gold-standard results.
Work with company-wide reliability and testing owners to devise effective compliance strategies that align with our high-quality release standards.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members while maintaining meticulous documentation of validation activities and certification reports.
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s or equivalent experience, or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of demonstrated expertise in High-Speed Electrical Compliance and PHY characterization.
Expert-level, hands-on experience with high-end lab equipment, including Real-time Scopes, BERT, and VNA.
Deep understanding of S-parameters, TDR, and De-embedding techniques essential for accurate compliance testing.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred, Perl, or Shell) for instrument control and data analysis.
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in English is a must.
