Job Description
Your Career
As the Director, Employee Relations Israel, you will be an integral part of the global Employee Relations team and the wider People team community. You will use your expertise and business acumen to prevent and resolve workplace issues that interfere with our collaborative culture. In this role, you will lead Employee Relations for the Israel region. You will set the strategy for ER, in alignment with the wider local People team function and the Global ER strategy, and manage one ER professional also based in Israel. This role will be based in Tel Aviv, and will report to the global head of Employee Relations.
You will use your experience and knowledge of applicable policies, regulations, and industry best practices to establish and follow appropriate protocol for employee relations issues, HR compliance, and investigations. As a thought leader in this area of expertise, you will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver educational programs to create awareness and training and help create a workplace free from behavioral issues and distractions.
You should be an experienced leader and innovative HR professional with a passion for coaching employees and managers, and creating teams that work together and win together. You should be comfortable working with any level of employee or manager, able to read complex situations and navigate sensitivities in order to find creative solutions to people issues. You are highly collaborative, truly valuing the contributions of your partners. You should have strong influencing skills, demonstrate practical judgment and creative problem solving to enable successful outcomes in individual and collective situations. You should also be capable of effectively managing a full and dynamic workload, demonstrate resilience, and thrive in a global work environment.
Your Impact
- Provide strategic guidance to leaders and PBPs on sensitive employee relations matters, including performance management, involuntary exits (including redundancies), interpersonal conflicts, and capability issues.
- Conduct investigations into complex or escalated employment matters. Partner with PBPs, Legal and other investigative parties as required to adhere to investigative best practices, reaching the optimal outcomes for our organization and employees.
- Drive organizational change initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring that communication is effective, risk is mitigated, and that leaders and employees are supported through the process.
- Lead and own HR compliance and policy for Israel.
- Use HR analytics and data to identify trends, diagnose issues and make data-driven recommendations to the leadership team and People team colleagues.
- With the support of the Global Head of ER, define and execute the ER strategy for Israel ensuring ER practices and processes support PANW’s organizational objectives and culture.
- Lead, and contribute to, EMEA or global ER-related projects as necessary.

Qualifications
Your Experience
- A minimum of 12 years of Employee Relations experience gained in either an ER or HRBP role, or equivalent experience as an employment lawyer practicing in Israel.
- Experience leading, managing and scaling teams.
- Extensive practical experience advising on employment law and regulations, compliance, and ER best practice, and the ability to pragmatically apply this knowledge in a commercial environment.
- Experience conducting investigations and advising on a wide range of sensitive and complex employee relations issues, including performance management, manager/employee conflicts or complaints, and behavioral/conduct issues.
- Demonstrated experience executing on change management programs and restructures, with the ability to balance the efficient project-management of complex processes with empathy and care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong emotional intelligence, and ability to build trust, rapport and influence across all levels of the company. Able to confidently influence and articulate complex issues to a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to organize and analyze data, and a passion for using data and insights to make a positive impact on the business.
- Capable of challenging the status quo and flexing solutions to changing demands.
- Track record of effectively coaching leaders to action in sensitive or ambiguous situations, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with maturity, discretion and professionalism.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed and results oriented environment.
- Fluency in Hebrew and English is required.
- Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Experience of leading an ER team within a tech organization
- Project management experience
