Since 2004, Pelephone became a wholly owned subsidiary company of “Bezeq,” Israel’s largest and most prominent telecommunication corporation. Pelephone provides cellular communication services in Israel and abroad, offering a variety of attractive mobile plans made to match the diverse needs of Israeli clients. Pelephone is a leader in the business sector, servicing large and various clients in diverse market segments such as high-tech, banking, aviation, retail, automobile, and more. Currently (2019), the firm provides services to 2.3 million subscribers and employs 2,300 personnel, mostly working in client service and sales functions. Technological innovation is the company’s top priority, as evident in Pelephone’s continuous development of cutting-edge products and services, collaborations with global tech industry leaders, and regular training to all customer service personnel in order to introduce the most technologically advanced services to all company clients. Pelephone was mentioned in the GSA report as one of the only 39 companies in the world able to activate gigabit LTE download files, as a result of using the 3 most advanced network technologies: MIMO 4x4, QAM, and 256 carrier aggregation. Pelephone has announced the launch of its 5G network. Called 'Pelephone Plus,' the network will begin operating as soon as the company receives the appropriate frequencies. Bezeq unit Pelephone has already built a network of hundreds of sites in recent months that will become commercial as soon as the frequencies are allocated.
