Commercial Controller Israel

Job Description

The Commercial Controller will ensure financially sound decision making by taking a central part in the Market Management Team. You will also be supporting the CEO of the market organization and report to the CFO of Philips Israel. You will be delivering meaningful interpretation and decision support based on analytics and FP&A . In this hands-on role, the Commercial Controller will ensure the integrity of the financials and controls of the commercial organization.

Your role:

  • Strategic and operational planning process
  • Ensure the integrity of the financials and controls of the commercial organization.
  • Drive decisions on sales channels, ROI, investments in Market Share, (turn key) project assessments and supportive in financing solutions.
  • BMC / performance cockpit and drive the delivery of the business and financial plans.
  • Drive analysis of business performance: sales, pricing, margin, credit management and costs
  • Collaborate closely and effectively with the Accounting Operations team of Philips Israel
  • Identify, address and track business issues.
  • Business integrity: adherence to FCPA and GBP in coop. with Legal & HR
  • Enable functions supervisory responsibility: control actual expenses, recharge hosted heads ensuring SLA structure is in place, performing trueups according to contractual agreements, planning future costs and preparing tax back-up documentation for external costs
  • LSP controller capabilities: optimal funding and financial risk assessment (sensitivity analysis, cost/benefit analysis, net present value calculations),project accounting understanding, knowledge of tax implications of different financing solutions, contract law basic knowledge
  • Contribute to regional and country Finance team to enhance performance
  • Drive and grow business value in the market by setting and achieving financial and strategic targets
  • Own and manage the strategic and operational (business / financial) planning process and performance management within the commercial organization and drive for the delivery of the committed results

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics and/or Finance, and preferred Accounting orientated study
  • At least 7 years of experience in functional finance positions from multinational organization, preferred commercial organizations
  • Excellent English Skills and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on capabilities
  • ERP (SAP preferred), Excel and BI skills


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
