As a Software Team Manager within the VUE Backend Group, you will lead multiple backend development teams responsible for critical services in the Hospital Radiology and Enterprise domains. You’ll drive engineering excellence, execution quality, and team performance, while guiding the modernization of our software stack — including the migration from on-premise solutions to cloud-native architectures.
Your role:
- Lead and mentor at least two cross-functional backend teams, including developers and verification engineers.
- Support professional growth through coaching, feedback, and skill development in design, coding, testing, and automation.
- Own end-to-end delivery of backend modules and components, ensuring high-quality, on-time releases.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, and QA to align scope and execution.
- Support customer escalations by coordinating technical investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead modernization initiatives, including the migration of legacy systems to AWS cloud-native architecture.
- Partner with architects to define technical direction, scalability, and performance goals.
- Champion modern software development practices — CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps.
- Promote architectural consistency, maintainability, and long-term system sustainability.
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing Agile software development teams.
- Strong technical background in C++, .NET, C#, and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in software architecture and system design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
Preferred:
- Proven experience leading migration from on-prem to cloud-native environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience in the medical device or other regulated industries.
