PixCell Medical is a fast-growing company specializing in AI-powered, microfluidic blood diagnostics. With thousands of products deployed worldwide, we are looking for a highly experienced VP of R&D to lead our multidisciplinary engineering teams through the next phase of product evolution and global scale-up. Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor the Systems Engineering, Mechanics, Software, and Automation teams.- Product Evolution: Oversee improvement and cost reduction (VAVE) of existing commercial products to maintain market competitiveness.- New Product Development: Lead the end-to-end development of complex new diagnostic systems, ensuring high-quality architectural design and clinical readiness.- Scale-up & Automation: Drive the transition of R&D designs into high-volume production through advanced automation and manufacturing strategies.- Technical Integration: Ensure seamless performance across subsystems including hardware, software, optics, and mechanics. Job Requirements:- Education: Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering (preferred).- Leadership Experience: Proven track record as a VP of R&D leading multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.- Industry Expertise: Substantial experience in the medical device industry is required.- Product Maturity: Demonstrated experience managing mature, commercial-stage products; experience limited to pre-commercial/R&D stages will not suffice.- Technical Breadth: Deep understanding of complex systems integrating hardware, software, optics, and mechanics.- Operational Skills: Ability to balance long-term innovation with the immediate needs of a rapidly scaling commercial fleet.
