General Counsel

Plaee is looking for a General Counsel to lead all legal and compliance matters across the Plaee group of companies, covering both our B2B platform business and our B2C gaming brands. This role is a senior leadership position that guides our commercial strategy, protects the company from legal risk, and ensures that all products and operations meet the highest standards of compliance and integrity.
Role Overview
The General Counsel will manage every legal aspect of Plaee. This includes commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory analysis, IP and technology matters, partnerships, vendor agreements, and internal policies. The role will also oversee the Compliance and AML Officer for the B2C activity, providing direction, frameworks, and escalation support. You will work closely with executives, product, operations, and finance to support strategic decisions and build a strong legal foundation for global scale.
Responsibilities
• Lead all legal work across the Plaee group and its related entities
• Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements for B2B and B2C activities
• Support corporate structuring, governance, equity matters, and board processes
• Review and advise on regulatory areas across social gaming, sweepstakes, and emerging markets
• Oversee the compliance and AML function for B2C including KYC, AML, risk monitoring, and marketing guidelines
• Create and maintain company wide policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage relationships with external counsel in multiple jurisdictions
• Advise leadership on risk, strategic decisions, and market entry considerations
• Ensure the protection of company IP, data, and technology assets
• Lead legal input for product launches, new features, and partner integrations
Requirements
• Qualified attorney with experience in gaming, social gaming, entertainment, fintech, or technology sectors
• Significant experience in commercial law, corporate governance, and regulatory matters
• Experience managing or supervising compliance and AML functions
• Ability to work across jurisdictions and handle a variety of legal topics end to end
• Strong communication skills and a practical business mindset
• Comfort working in a fast paced, product driven environment
