PLAYSTUDIOS is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Accountant to join our Tel Aviv office. This role focuses primarily on managing and overseeing payroll for our Israeli employees, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing in accordance with Israeli labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

The position also includes close coordination with our external payroll provider and internal stakeholders to support employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding and offboarding, as well as payroll-related accounting activities.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on payroll experience in Israel and a deep understanding of local payroll regulations, statutory reporting, and employee benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the monthly payroll process for all employees in Israel, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments.

  • Calculate and review gross-to-net payroll, including bonuses, salary adjustments, deductions, and other compensation components.

  • Ensure compliance with Israeli payroll regulations, including: income tax deductions, Bituach Leumi contributions, health tax, pension contributions and other statutory deductions.

  • Prepare and submit monthly payroll reports to the Israeli Tax Authority, including Form 102 and Form 126, and ensure payments are made on time.

  • Work closely with the external payroll provider to ensure smooth payroll operations and accurate reporting.

  • Maintain employee payroll records and manage payroll-related updates including: new hires, terminations, salary changes and benefits updates.

  • Track employee entitlements such as vacation balances, sick days, reserve duty and other statutory benefits, in accordance with Israeli labor law.

  • Support employees with pay slips, payroll documentation, and payroll-related questions.

  • Coordinate with pension providers and ensure proper handling of employee benefits and related documentation.

  • Perform payroll reconciliations and support payroll-related accounting,all payroll-related journal entries and reporting.

  • Support year-end payroll activities, including preparation and distribution of Form 106.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of payroll experience in Israel, preferably in a company environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Israeli payroll regulations, labor laws, and statutory payroll reporting.

  • Experience working with external payroll providers.

  • Familiarity with payroll systems and accounting tools.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work products.

  • Fluency in Hebrew and English (written and verbal) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a high-tech or international company.

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERP systems.

  • Background in accounting or finance.

  • Experience working in a multinational organization with US GAAP reporting requirements.

  • Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements.

This is a hybrid role based in our Tel Aviv office, with three on-site workdays per week.
