playAI is the initiative driving PLAYSTUDIOS toward becoming an AI-first company, combining Generative AI and Data Science to create more personalized, adaptive, and impactful game experiences.

As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in building AI-driven systems that directly influence player experience, game performance, and business outcomes.

You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and AI, helping turn data and models into real production systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Data Science solutions, including problem definition, modeling, validation, and measurable impact in production

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Studio teams to shape game systems and player experiences

  • Build and validate models that directly impact player behavior, game mechanics, and monetization systems

  • Define and enforce Data Science standards, including modeling, validation, and production readiness

  • Provide technical leadership and drive quality across Data Science work

How we work:

  • We balance speed and quality based on product needs

  • We prioritize iterative delivery and measurable impact over perfection

  • We focus on production systems, not isolated research

  • We work closely with product and studios to ensure relevance and adoption

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field

  • Strong background in statistics, probability, and data modeling

  • Experience building and deploying models in production environments

  • Experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering and modern AI toolchains

  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience working on large-scale data systems

  • Experience with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing in production environments

  • Experience working on B2C products, with strong understanding of user behavior and engagement dynamics

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and working with real-time or near real-time systems (e.g. online inference, decision systems)

  • Experience with MLOps practices (model lifecycle, monitoring, CI/CD for ML systems)

  • Experience translating complex product or system requirements into scalable technical solutions

  • Experience in gaming, game economies, or player behavior-driven systems

This is a hybrid role based in our Tel Aviv office, with three on-site workdays per week.
