GNSS Lab & Field Experiments Engineer

  • We are looking for a skilled and driven Lab & Field Experiments Engineer with background in Radio Frequency (RF) and systems and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). In this role, you will lead the design, execution, and analysis of experiments aimed at advancing cutting-edge RF and GNSS technologies.
  • You will work in diverse environments, from controlled labs to field deployments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RF engineers, researchers, and clients. Your work will directly influence the development and optimization of innovative solutions in positioning and navigation technologies.

Responsibilities

In the lab:

  • Manage and operate a GNSS lab.
  • Design and lead experiments.
  • Collaborate with clients, researchers and the lab staff.
  • Experimental results and data analysis and deduction.
  • Operate and control advanced test equipment.
  • Develop and design lab software and computing infrastructure.

In field experiments:

  • Develop and implement testing protocols for RF and GNSS systems in varied field environments.
  • Execute experiments in real-world conditions, including urban, rural terrains.
  • Set up and calibrate RF and GNSS equipment such as antennas, receivers, and signal analyzers.
  • Capture, preprocess and monitor signal data to evaluate system performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and mitigate sources of interference, multipath errors, or signal degradation. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues during field experiments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical\Mechanical\Biomedical\Aeronautical Engineering, B.sc Physics, Practical Electrical Engineer, or a related field.
  • Lab Experience with RF.
  • Ability and motivation to work off-site in field experiments.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java, JavaScript).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background\Experience in Navigation and GNSS.
  • Background\Experience in Signal Processing.
