Description
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure & DevOps Team Lead to take full ownership of Razor Labs' cloud and edge infrastructure domain.
In this role, you will act as a key technical leader within the R&D department, bridging the gap between strong software development practices and large-scale platform engineering. You will be responsible for driving cloud architecture, security, operational excellence, and scalability across both cloud environments and globally distributed edge deployments.
This is a strategic leadership role with end-to-end ownership of Razor Labs' infrastructure domain, ensuring our cloud and edge platforms remain scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 2–3 Infrastructure and DevOps engineers while remaining a 50% hands-on technical leader.
- Own and evolve Razor Labs' cloud infrastructure architecture and operational strategy.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of our cloud and edge platforms.
- Lead infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD best practices across the organization.
- Drive cloud security, governance, observability, and incident management processes.
- Partner with engineering leadership on architecture, platform strategy, and technology decisions.
- Act as the primary infrastructure authority within the R&D organization and influence the company's technology roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, Platform Engineering, or similar infrastructure-focused roles.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing engineers, leading infrastructure and platform initiatives.
- Strong experience designing, operating, and scaling production cloud environments; experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience owning cloud architecture and designing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient distributed systems.
- Strong software development background with hands-on coding experience.
- Deep expertise with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and modern CI/CD practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, observability, reliability engineering, and incident management.
- Excellent communication, ownership, and cross-functional leadership skills.
