Description
Reports to: Head of Growth
Direct Reports: Web Developer(s), Marketing Operation manager
Role Purpose
Own the website as a growth product and the technical engine behind our PLG funnel from first visit to product activation. You’ll lead web delivery, ensure a seamless website → product experience, and own all SEO activity (technical + on-page implementation + SEO release governance). You’ll also bring an advantage in GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and practical LLM usage to ship faster and optimize for AI-driven discovery.
Web Growth & Conversion
- Treat the website as a product: improve conversion rates, sign-ups, and activation.
- Build and optimize landing pages, funnels, and key journeys; run and analyze A/B tests.
- Improve frictionless onboarding from website → product (signup flows, handoffs, activation triggers).
Website Engineering Ownership
- Own site architecture, CMS/codebase, deployments, QA, monitoring, and incident response.
- Drive performance improvements (Core Web Vitals), accessibility, and security/compliance (GDPR/CCPA basics).
- Establish reusable components/templates to ship pages and experiments quickly.
SEO Ownership (End-to-End)
- Own the SEO roadmap and execution: technical SEO (crawl/indexation, canonicals, redirects, internal linking), on-page implementation, and SEO QA for releases.
- Implement and maintain structured data/schema, site hygiene, and scalable SEO patterns (templates, programmatic pages where relevant).
- Partner with content/PMM on strategy, but you’re accountable for implementation quality and SEO outcomes.
GEO + LLM (Advantage)
- Optimize content structure and page patterns for AI search and LLM answers (clear entities, “answer-first” sections, comparison tables, FAQs, integration pages).
- Use LLMs to accelerate prototyping, development, debugging, documentation, and content-to-page production—with quality guardrails (testing, validation, review).
Analytics & Measurement
- Ensure clean event tracking, funnel reporting, and attribution support (UTMs, lifecycle tracking, experiment measurement).
- Build dashboards/insights with Growth and Marketing Ops to track website-to-product performance.
Leadership
- Lead web development execution (prioritization, sprints, code reviews, standards).
- Collaborate closely with Marketing , Product, and Sales to keep the funnel and data flow reliable.
Requirements
- Strong in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, modern web practices, performance optimization, and CMS management (Webflow/WordPress/headless or similar).
- Proven experience owning SEO—especially technical SEO and SEO QA in a release-driven environment.
- Experience with CRO and experimentation (A/B testing, analytics, event instrumentation).
- Comfortable integrating with product systems via APIs and managing website → product tracking.
