About Port
At Port.io, we are building an open and flexible Agentic Engineering Platform for modern engineering organizations. Following our recent $100M Series C funding round, we are in a phase of rapid hypergrowth with strong enterprise momentum.
We act as the central nervous system for engineering, enabling platform teams to unify their stack and expose it as a governed layer through golden paths for developers and AI agents.
By combining rich engineering context, workflows, and actions, we help organizations transition from manual processes to autonomous, AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining control and accountability. As a product-led company, we believe in building world-class platforms that fundamentally shape how modern engineering organizations operate.
About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated Product Operations Manager with an AI-first mindset to build and run the operating system of Port’s product team.
Product ops at Port is early. There is no inherited system to operate. This person builds the structure, then improves it, then automates it. Their work is measured in outcomes: time saved, decisions improved, manual processes eliminated, and a team that operates with more clarity and less friction over time.
This isn’t a coordination role. It’s a builder role with a people layer. The person who thrives here is equally comfortable designing a workflow with an AI agent in the morning and facilitating a cross-functional planning session in the afternoon.
What will you be doing?
- Build and evolve the operating system for Port’s product organization: AI assistant, agentic workflows, and automated processes that replace manual work.
- Ensure data flows to the right teams at the right time: work with analytics, CRM, and feedback functions to eliminate gaps and surface insights automatically.
- Run planning and execution operations: support quarterly and iteration planning, monitor delivery health, maintain KPI registries, and facilitate retrospectives.
- Build AI-powered automation: design and maintain AI agents and workflows that make planning, discovery, and cross-functional communication more autonomous over time.
- Represent product team needs across ops and enablement functions: GTM ops, sales ops, HR ops. Be the product team’s operational voice in those forums.
- Own PM onboarding: build and improve the onboarding experience so new PMs reach full productivity faster.
Requirements:
- AI builder, not just user. You’ve built and deployed AI agents or automated workflows in a production environment. You know the difference between a demo and a system someone depends on daily.
- Product-minded. You’ve worked closely enough with product teams to understand how PMs think and make decisions, not just what they deliver. You know what slows a product team down.
- Process architect. You’ve built a function, process, or operational system from scratch. You didn’t inherit structure; you created it.
- Data fluent. You understand how data from multiple sources connects into a coherent picture and can identify when a gap in data is actually a gap in decision-making.
- Cross-functional operator. You’ve represented a team’s needs in forums where you had no authority. You know how to get alignment without relying on title.
- Strong communicator. You can explain operational decisions clearly to product leadership, to engineers, and to business stakeholders in the same conversation.
- 2+ years in Product Operations, Product Management, Program Management, or a similar role in a product-led SaaS company.
What this is not
- Not a coordination role. If your best work is scheduling syncs and writing status updates, this is the wrong fit.
- Not an AI enthusiast role. If you’ve studied AI but haven’t built agents or workflows that run in production, this is the wrong fit.
- Not a mature function you’re stepping into. Product ops at Port is early. You’re building the systems, not operating ones that already exist.
