Human Resources Specialist, Maternity Leave Cover

Description

The Joint (JDC), a global humanitarian nonprofit organization, is seeking a Human Resources Specialist (HRS) to join our dynamic and multicultural Global HR team for a maternity leave cover. The HRS will manage the full cycle of recruitment and onboarding for new hires in Israel and abroad. They will work closely and in partnership with hiring managers and the HR team across the globe to ensure collaborative and professional hiring and onboarding processes with outstanding candidate experience. What will you do as our Human Resources Specialist?

  • Responsible for the full cycle of recruitment, for positions located in Israel and abroad, including requisitions approval, job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordination, reference checks
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, draft job descriptions, and develop sourcing strategies. Support hiring managers throughout the hiring process
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in recruitment and HR systems
  • Oversight of pre-onboarding and onboarding processes
  • Ensure that all stages of the hiring process are performed in accordance with JDC best recruiting practices and standards
  • Prepare and present bi-annual and annual recruitment reports, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve processes
  • Serve as an active member of the global recruiting forum and collaborate with HR colleagues worldwide
  • Additional projects and HR Operations assignments as needed

What Qualifications do you need to be our Human Resources Specialist?

Required:

  • BA in Human Resources, business administration, or related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant recruitment experience, ideally in an international, multi-cultural environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple full-cycle recruitment processes simultaneously, including working with a variety of sourcing channels
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Hebrew
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Analytical skills and experience creating recruitment dashboards or reports
  • Experience working with candidate management systems and HRIS โ€“ a plus
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations

Additional Details

  • Status: Temporary (maternity leave cover); part-time or full-time (75%-100%)
  • Start Date: Beginning of December 2025
  • Location: Jerusalem, Israel (Hybrid)
  • Reports to: Executive Director, Global Human Resources
