We are looking for an Electrical & Control Project Engineer to join our Service & Upgrades Department. This role combines office-based engineering activities with on-site customer support and project execution. The position is responsible for leading and supporting electrical and control aspects of automation projects, upgrades, retrofits, integrations, and commissioning activities.
As a key technical focal point, you will work closely with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure high-quality execution and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional guidance, supervision, and technical support to electrical and control contractors at customer sites.
- Monitor the quality and compliance of electrical and control installations according to project drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues during installation, integration, commissioning, and upgrade activities.
- Support field teams and participate in startup, testing, implementation, and optimization of automation systems.
- Work closely with local and international suppliers and manufacturers on technical and engineering matters.
- Prepare and maintain As-Made documentation and provide engineering feedback to design teams for continuous system improvement.
- Participate in system integration, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and customer handover processes.
- Support modernization, retrofit, and upgrade projects for existing automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Practical Engineer or B.Sc. Engineer in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Valid Electrical License – mandatory.
- Experience in field-based industrial automation projects.
- Strong understanding of power and control schematics, including PLC-based systems and motor drive technologies.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and industrial communication networks.
- Experience working with AutoCAD Electrical.
- High level of technical English – mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Advantages:
- Experience with logistics automation systems, conveyor systems, automated warehouses, or automated parking systems.
- Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers.
- Experience in system upgrades, retrofit projects, and integration activities.
