Your role
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Engineer to join our internal engineering team. designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, and providing technical support and maintenance for systems and equipment. Key duties involve system configuration, quality control, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Our primary areas of focus are large scale platform integration, automation and observability
Key Responsibilities
• Problem-solving: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and systems.
• System maintenance: Install, configure, and upgrade servers, networks, software, and other technical infrastructure.
• Technical support: Provide assistance to internal teams and external clients, often involving remote or on-site support.
• Automation: Automate manual operational tasks, such as infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and monitoring, to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
• Change management: Assess the impact of changes, such as new code deployments, on system reliability and coordinate with development teams to minimize risk.
• Quality assurance: Conduct quality control checks to ensure equipment and systems meet required standards and specifications.
• Project contribution: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new technical solutions and projects based on business requirements.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including reports, manuals, and procedures
• Write and maintain scripts and code in languages such as Bash, Python, Java, Go, or similar, to support automation and integration tasks

Your expertise
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and technical principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Creative thinking and resilience in tackling complex and unforeseen challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to document processes and provide support.
• Knowledge of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
• Platform Familiarity: Experience with Linux and Kubernetes is required; familiarity with Azure Cloud services (e.g., Blob Storage, virtualized workloads, networking, API development) is highly desirable.
• Programming Fundamentals: Strong background in one or more of the following: Bash scripting, Python, Java, Go, or similar programming languages.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in enterprise-scale deployments and automation projects.
• Knowledge of best practices in security, compliance, and performance optimization for cloud and on-premise environments.
• Certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or related technologies are a plus.
• Exposure to Agile or DevOps methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to explain plans and activites clearly and concisely
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong planning, organisational and coordination skills
• Good knowledge and experience of working within an agile SDLC framework
• An ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team
