Job Description

As a Government Relations Specialist at Wix, you will act as a key liaison between Wix and non-business stakeholders in Israel and internationally. You will also play a pivotal role in supporting Wix’s leadership within the Israel Growth Forum (IGF), advancing its mission to build the strongest infrastructure for Israel’s tech ecosystem. In this role, you will manage relationships with government bodies, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders, while driving strategic initiatives for both Wix and the IGF. On a daily basis, you’ll address policy issues, foster collaborations, represent the IGF in collective impact initiatives, and oversee projects that align with Wix's goals and the broader objectives of the IGF.

• Engage with government bodies, municipalities and other non-business stakeholders in Israel and abroad to promote Wix’s interests

• Assist in data collection, as well as meeting and report preparation

• Support collaborations with academic institutions including Bar Ilan University, Sapir College and Reichman University

• Support the IGF enrolment in the 50:50 collective impact effort for gender equality in Israeli tech

• Manage the onboarding of new companies into the IGF, facilitating their active participation

• Assist in organizing events, including sub-forum meetups and the annual summit

• Assist with Wix’s government relation efforts across different regions

• Be responsible for website updates and maintenance

*This position requires some traveling within the greater Tel Aviv area and Jerusalem.

Qualifications

• Strong interest and motivation in government relations, public policy or related fields

• Proficiency in both written and spoken Hebrew and English

• Understanding of stakeholder management, including government bodies, academic institutions and NGOs

• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to track and interpret policy developments

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google workspace

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and across departments

• Familiarity with Israel’s tech industry, public policy, academic and governmental landscape – an advantage

• Ability to manage website maintenance and updates, with some technical orientation – an advantage

• Project management experience – an advantage

*Candidates pursuing degrees in Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, Law or Communications will be best suited for this position.

Additional Information

This role falls under the management of the Government Relations and IGF Manager. You will work closely with them to support projects that drive Wix’s government relations efforts and IGF’s mission to strengthen Israel's tech ecosystem. The IGF is a coalition of 25 leading Israeli tech companies focused on policy, regulation and ecosystem development. In addition, you’ll collaborate with various teams across Wix, including legal, communications and product teams, contributing to initiatives that align with Wix’s business objectives and the broader goals of the IGF.
