Job Description
- Digital forensics research, network research, incident handling and response, network and component monitoring, and development of cyber-related applications.
- Cyber Researcher as part of a team conducting “hunt operations” to detect cyberattacks, based on intelligence information and guidance regarding attacker access to a critical national infrastructure organization or an essential organization that has not been detected by the organization’s cyber defense systems.
- Assistance in the design, implementation, and operationalization of honeypots and deception environments to mislead cyber attackers.
- Creation of early warnings for the organization and enrichment of intelligence information regarding attacker tools and techniques.
- Member of a team providing technological research support for the design and implementation of investigation, detection, identification, and deception tools for the organization’s technological intelligence research and threat hunting teams.
Job Requirements
- Relevant academic education.
- At least 3 years of experience performing the tasks described above.
- Research background and experience in areas used for detecting, identifying, and responding to cyber threats, in two or more of the following domains: digital forensics research, network research, threat and attack framework research, cyber intelligence research.
- Experience extracting research insights from technological intelligence data.
- Experience in penetration testing, incident handling and response, network and component monitoring, and conducting research activities.
- Experience in developing cyber tools and systems, as well as research-supporting tools.
- Broad and advanced knowledge of Big Data–based systems across a wide range of platforms and protocols.
- Strong familiarity with computing and operating systems, information security, and data communications.
