What’s the role?
The Corporate IT (CIT) of Carl ZEISS AG is responsible for the IT for all divisions of ZEISS. The diversity of the ZEISS portfolio harbors an exciting complexity, especially in the ERP environment.
For this reason, we are looking for an experienced SAP SD Inhouse Consultant for the Order-to-Cash stream, with a focus on tax and pricing.
As an in-house consultant within the corporate IT, you will be responsible for the further development and adaptation (customizing & development) in the supply chain environment within SAP ERP for the ZEISS business units worldwide.

Here’s what you’ll do:
Mapping and further development of the sales processes of all business units in the SAP ERP system of the Carl ZEISS Group.
One focus here is pricing and the mapping of output tax within the SAP ERP system, as well as the connected tax engine Vertex.
Be part of the transformation from a global SAP R/3 to an SAP S/4 system in a greenfield approach
Accompany the entire life cycle from brainstorming and implementation through to training and support for solutions.
Support global M&A and SAP Roll-out project
You will use agile and traditional project management methods for both content implementation and project management.
As part of the technical SAP team with system responsibility, you will form the creative bridge to the specialist departments and support and advise the SAP key users of various international departments and manage external IT partners as required.
Do you qualify?
A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics, industrial engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent training.
Several years of professional experience in the completion of IT projects within SAP sales processing in the manufacturing industry.
You have a deep understanding of sales processes in the SAP SD environment (SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA) and ideally experience with the Vertex O-Series.
Reading and debugging of ABAP programs
Experience in mapping complex products in SAP (advanced) variant configuration.
A certain willingness to travel.
Nice to Haves:
Additional professional certifications in project management or related fields.
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.
Demonstrated expertise in cloud solutions and their integration with SAP S/4HANA.
Proficiency in using project management tools and methodologies.
Working Conditions and Special Demands:
Travel: will be required and may increase for limited periods during go-live/post-go-live at different ZEISS locations across the Americas. Occasional business trips to Germany can also be required.
Compensation:
The annual pay range for this position is $130,000 – $150,000
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
