We are looking for a Maintenance & Repairs Specialist who will handle the following:

Estimates repairs handling:

• Review pending estimates at HO level
• Approve estimate within the target time frame and find ways to reduce repairs costs.
• Declare Total-Loss when according to defined criteria

New building/ On-hire technical specifications:

• Review technical specifications provided by containers’ factories. Assure they are compatible with ZIM’s standards
• Provide new series numbers for NB
• Maintaining MNR’s Dry Database
• Negotiate nominations fees with material suppliers
• Obtain knowledge about new production technologies such as: coatings, floors, etc.

Loss prevention – identify and monitor problematic commodities:

• Identify commodities causing more repairs, monitor and act if needed (metal scrap, marble stones etc.)
• Set technical guidance and review company policy in regards to cargo permitted for carriage.





• Mechanical Practical Engineer – Advantage
• Mechanical Engineer –Advantage
• Solid technical background with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - Must
• Familiarity with the dry container industry and operational use– Must
• Fluent in English
• High Excel proficiency
