Description
We are looking for ZIM Israel Treasury Dep. Manager who will be responsible for customers collection (freight, demurrage locals fees etc.) and all banking activities and records.
Collection
What will be your main responsibilities?
- Leading the team to meet the targets of collection from customers.
- Negotiations with customers on the following subjects: ongoing settling of accounts, debt collection, verifying accounts, offsetting commissions from customer debts.
Producing Reports
- Producing reports for credit committees.
- Producing material for integrity report.
- Preparing weekly reports regarding the settling of accounts with customers, including customer balances, debt aging, comments on irregularities and reporting on the doubtful and lost debts.
- Preparing monthly cashflow forecast.
Management of ZIM Israel bank accounts
- Supervision over the adjustment system and consolidating contact methods for the banks and ZIM’s Treasury Department.
- Transfer funds from ZIM Treasury.
- Control over the cashiers and tellers at all branches.
Credit Committees
- Coordinating information on the financial and economic situation of the customers credit for the credit committee.
- Producing credit agreements for customers and following-up of the receipt of signed agreements.
- Controlling over deviation from the credit terms and the customer’s securities and extension/ cancellation of the customer’s financial liabilities, as pertinent.
- internal/external relationships
Internal parties on the following subjects:
- Investigating customers’ disputes regarding tariffs, payment dates, missing documents, etc.
- Handling irregularities in the process with Zim Israel departments.
- Formulating requirements for developing IT requests and solving problems detected during the work process.
- Setting up a Payer on the information systems.
External parties on the following subjects:
- Legal opinion on various issues, writing warning letters to customers and demanding payment of debts from customers.
- Quarterly accounting control over customer balances.
- Professional opinion regarding the economic and financial status of existing and new customers (D&B).
Requirements
- Academic degree in Industrial Engineering & Management/ Economics/ Business Management/ Accounting (CPA)
- Experience in the field of finance and economics
- Experience in a managerial role
- Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, Excel (macro level) and PowerPoint in particular
- High level of spoken and written English
